tasq

Concepts

A commitment control plane, not another workflow engine.

Tasq preserves the minimum shared truth needed for independent actors to collaborate without collapsing identity, execution, evidence and authority into one task status.

Separate records prevent separate failures

A commitment is the outcome still owed. An assignment records responsibility. A claim grants temporary exclusive execution. An attempt records one run. Evidence explains why a completion decision is justified.

  • Assignment is not a claim.
  • A successful attempt is not a completed commitment.
  • An output is not automatically evidence.
  • An approval is not an executed external effect.
  • A provider timeout is indeterminate, not safely retryable failure.

One kernel, replaceable outer layers

Profiles decide domain priorities. Runtimes execute. Connectors cross provider boundaries. Protocol adapters translate. Surfaces serve humans and machines. All of them converge on one durable ledger contract.
